PROGRAM

We invite you to take a musical journey through rare works of mechanical music.
Around thirty have been selected: paintings, posters, instruments, unusual objects, etc., and will be presented with songs to accompany them.
The evening will be all the more unusual in that it will be hosted by the company "les Rossignôles", whose first performance in Les Gets. Listening to their repertoire ranging from the 1920s to the 1980s, singing will also be seen as a work of art, a musical work made up of text and melody.
The event will also serve as a reminder that music has inspired many painters, and that mechanical music has not been left behind.
The Musée des Gets exhibits more than 260 paintings - some by great masters - depicting street scenes with barrel organ players, funfairs with merry-go-rounds and their limonaires, etc...
Mechanical musical instruments can be admired on the works of art, but also in operation, providing the musical backdrop to this wild night.
